The Waterfall

The summer whispers soflty on the breeze
As autumn leaves fall dancing through the trees
A veiled and misty light across the stream
Has promised life beyond their wildest dreams
Sailing, on a silver river to the call
Of the last regretful tow of the waterfall

All of you gone, all of you gone
Swept away by the flow, the damage done
Where you rest may there be sun

The river winds its way down to the sea
And pipes the tune to those left on the breeze
Wild and windy tears fall in the stream
And curse the spell that tempted you to leave
Sailing, on a silver river to the call
Of the last regretful tow of the waterfall

All of you gone, all of you gone
Swept away by the flow, the damage done
Where you rest may there be sun
